If you are DropBox user you will love it. It simply works and you can share files with co-workers and they stay in sync on your laptop. Here is screenshot of the folder structure in Windows Explorer on my laptop. You can see a folder that I have shared with a client. They can update files and they will magically appear on my laptop.

Microsoft have a similar product called OneDrive which is the storage part of their office on-line suite. However this does not have shared folder sync. You can only sync your own files – not shared files.

You cannot get shared file sync even if you upgrade to a paid product such as Windows 365. Users believe that Microsoft have deliberately crippled OneDrive to avoid competition with their own SharePoint product.

This thread is so damaging that Microsoft render a pop-up at the beginning asking you not to read it.
